Mr. J. A. <;. Allum returned by the Urnited this morning. Dr. C. A. Jarman sailed for Sydney today by the Marama. Mr. E. F Meredith, of Dunedin, arrived in Auckland this morning. The Rev. J. Bradley was a passenger for Sydney by the Marama this afternoon. Mr. E- Casey, divisional superintendent, North Island railways, returned, by the Limited this morning. Dr. A. E. King, F.R.C.S., of Christchurch, arrived in Auckland by the Tairoa last evening from England, He is going South tonight. Mr. W. Machin, general manager of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Christchurch, is staying at Stonehurst. Mr. John Tait, managing director of j. c. Williamson, Ltd., who has been visiting New Zealand, returned to Sydney today by the Marama. Mr. T. E. Hutt, of the Hamilton chief post office staff, has been notified of bis promotion to the position of relieving postmaster, Hamilton postal district.
