The Tauranga Borough Council met . on Wednesday evening, the Mayor, Mr. » B. C. Robbins, presiding. The building inspector reported that . for the quarter permits to the value of £18,1.16 had been issued. I It was decided to support the Feild--1 ing Borough Council in asking that . the Urban Farm Lands Rating Bill t should be left over until next session of Parliament. A system for the collection of rub--2 bisli every week was agreed to. It was decided to donate to the A. • and P. Association a trophy for competition for electric cooking at the autumn show. > The Mount Maunganui Domain j Board has given a donation of £ 5 to tlie Maunganui Life-Saving Club. On account of wet weather the opening of the Tauranga bowling 5 green, which was fixed for last Wed- ’ nesday, was postponed until next ’ Wednesday.
