MUNICIPAL OFFICERS * ENTERTAIN FRIENDS | SUCCESSFUL EVENING TOWN HALL FUNCTION The Town Hall Concert Chamber presented a gay appearance yesterday, when the Auckland Municipal Officers' Social Club held a ladies' evening. Bamboo foliage in green tubs graced the entrance, and the hall itself was made attractive with hanging baskets of fern and masses of greenery. The royal blue and white streamers and bright flags which hung from the centre of the ceiling and stretched in loops to the Avails gave a delightful touch of colour among the baskets of fern which were suspended front the gallery. Dancing occupied a large part of the evening, an enjoyable programme also being given. Those contributing Miss M. Free, elocutionary item; Mr. R. Richards, songs; Miss J. K. Morris and Mr. F. Easson, exhibitions of quickstep and modern waltz. Orchestral numbers by Miss A. Clarke’s band were greatly appreciated. Among those present were: Mr. and Mrs. J. B.
