CELEBRATION AT GISBORNE FIRST LANDING IN N.Z. Press Association GISBORNE, Today. The Captain Cook memorial celebration was held yesterdaj'. A number of wreaths from public bodies wer* deposited at the memorial on the si-* of Cook's first landing in New Ze* land, including one from the Roy» Empire Society. An address was delivered by t*** Rev. George Frost, who recently visited Cook's birthplace at Marton. England.
