TWO SHIPS NOW WRECKS
HOCHST AND LAUTERFELS ON ROCKS LATTER IN SERIOUS WAY Australian and N.Z. Press Association Reed. 9.5 a.m. COLOMBO, Tuesday. The position ot the steamer Lauterlels, which went to the assistance of the stranded Ilochst, and herself got aground, is serious. There is a hole in her hull, and a leak in the ballast tanks. She drifted further on to the reef, and is making water. An effort lo tow her off failed. The Hochst has definitely been abandoned.
