ELECTION OF OFFICERS From Our Oun Correspondent PUKEKOHE, Tuesday. Tli9 annual meeting oC the Franklin Poultry Club, bold this evening, v:as presided over by Mr. A. Cl. Kovvles. The report stated that the show held in Juno last was an outstanding success, particularly in the poultry section. The exhibits were very favourably commented upon by the judges. The co-operation with the Franklin Distrirt Court Committee in staging a local district court competition was a successful venture, increased gatereceipts being obtained. The balance sheet showed a credit of £2 4s 7d. The officers elcted were:—President, Mr. A. G. Rowles; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Nightingale, P. Gallagher, •T. Kelso. D. R. Hamilton, J. J. McKenney, E. H. Keating, K. L. Curnow, W. IT. Carter and D. G. Saunders; secretary, Mr. H. E. Kissling; auditor, Mr. I*. Gallagher: executive, Messrs. V. Morris. C. Rountree, J. Hall, A. J. Rowles, L. Batkin. R. Powell, D. Bister, H. M. Barriball, G. Michie and A. M. Watt. It was agreed to make a presentation to the secretary for his services, and to vote an honorarium of C 5 5s for the future. Mi. J. Hall was elected a life member of the club.
