“I'M FEELING FIT"

TuesMr. MacDonald and his daughter appeared on the back lawn of White House shortly after President Hoover, and a group of intimate friends concluded 40 minutes of via orous handball play. Mr. MacDonald told newspaper men that he was “feelins: fit.” and he looked it. Neither he nor Ishbel appeared tired from the round of engagements they have indulged m since their arrival at the Capital. President Hoover and Mr. MacDonald spent, an hour and a-half together in the President's study after breakfast. Then Mr. MacDonald and Ishbel left for the British Embassy, while President Hoover went direct to his office in the west wing, where the Secretary of State. Mr. H. L. S-timson joined him. The Prime Minister intended to spend most of the afternoon after luncheon with the Canadian Minister, Mr. Vincent Massey, and Mrs. Massey, and in answering the correspondence which has accumulated since his arrival, after which he and Ishbel would prepare for the formal dinner in his honour at: the British Embassy. Forty-one guests will attend this function, including the Secretary of State and Mrs. Stimson, and the Australian Commissioner. Mr. Herbert Brooks, and Mrs. Brooks.
