DETERMINED FIRE-BUG

ALARM SYSTEM INTERFERED WITH FUSE LAID TO BENZINE Press Association TAIHAPE, Today. An attempt was made on Monday night to burn down the new premises of R. Hannah and Company, boot -manufacturers. Benzine was splashed on the back wall and a length c. fuse was connected with a partly filled tin of benzine. The fuse had burned to a kink in the coil, but did not reach the benzine. Also the fire brigade switches had been disarranged so that an alarm would have been ineffective.
