TRANSPORT TENNIS

The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Transport Rawn Tennis Club:—Patron. A. K. Ford: president. F. E. de Querriet . secretary, S. M. Farrelly: committee. Mesdames Brady and Farrelly. Messrs. If. 11. Ward, Cavayer, Otter, Gordon. Baibour. The club had its opening day on Saturday. There was a large attendance of players and friends present. In extending a welcome to all present the chairman expressed the hope that the coming season would be a most successful one. To Mr. Ford they owed the possession of their very fine courts Ilian which there were no better in Auckland. He then declared the courts open for play, and after the first point had been played for by the secretary, a progressive pairs tournament was held and was won by Mr. Wilson and Mrs. T. Bell.
