The “Matin” states that a member of the Soviet Secret Police arrived at the Russian Embassy in Paris and, accusing’ M. Resedovsky, Counsellor at the Embassy, of having relapsed into heresy, demanded that he return to Russia. M. Besedovsky tried to escape but was held up by the doorkeeper, armed with a revolver. He then jumped over the garden -wall and made his escape to a French poliee-sta tion. —Cabled item.
