LABOUR PARTY EXECUTIVE ELECTION British Official Wireless RUGBY, Saturday. The newly-elected executive of the British Labour Party has chosen Miss Susan Lawrence as chairman of the executive for the ensuing year. Mr. Stanley Hirst, of the Transport and General Workers’ Union, has been elected vice-chairman. Miss Lawrence, who is the first woman to be appointed to this office, is Parliamentary secretary to the Ministry of Health. She was vice-chair-man of the outgoing executive of the Lahoijr Party.
