BIRKENHEAD FIRE BRIGADE Interest is still being maintained in the queen carnival at Birkenhead to ry.ise funds for a fire brigade. The position of the queens are: Labour Queen and Friendly Societies’ Queen, a dead heat, with 7,224 votes each; the Birkdale Queen next, with 6,522 votes, with the Business Queen following with 6,312 votes.
