OPOTIKI HOSPITAL BOARD

The chairman of the Opotiki Hospital Board, Mr. F. J. Short, stated at the meeting of the board on Friday that a public meeting would be called immediately for the purpose of going into the question of raising funds for the building of a maternity annex at the public hospital. The tender of Mr. Matthew of £l4 15s for additions to the men’s ward ■was accepted. A committee was appointed to go into the question of reducing the cost of electricity to the hospital. An offer was received from the Sunshine League to pay half the cost of building a tennis court at the hospital..
