THREE MOTORS COLLIDE
TWO CARS BADLY DAMAGED OCCUPANTS ESCAPE INJURY A collision, in which three cars ~c.ro Involved, occurred in Remuera Road, near St .Mark’s Church, shortly niter 10 o’clock last evening, and resulted Iu two of the cars being extensively damaged. A light taxi-cab, driven by Mr. J. W. Fergusson, of 120 Eden Terrace, was travelling down the Remuera Road toward Newmarket when it collided with a heavy closed car driven by Mr. W. Wright, of 23 Remuera Road, proceeding in the opposite direction. The taxi swerved violently across the road, turned a complete somersault, and came to rest on Its wheels. Mr. Fergusson, the driver of the taxi, was thrown through the right hand front window on to the road, but in spite of his fall, escaped uninjured. A third car coming down the Remuera Road struck the taxi, with the result that the off-side front mudguard was buckled. The taxi was completely wrecked by the force of the collision. The car driven by Mr. Wright was also extensively damaged. No one was Injured.
