The suit was opposed by the En-. lish trustees of the estate, who contended that while the Duke lived his children could not benefit by the fund The court held that the intention of ! the testatrix was clear, and that the i younger children, after the youngest ! has reached the age of 21, were enI titled to share in the income. | The litigation in the American ; courts arose front the alleged vagti* i wording of the Dowager Countess Consuelo's will. The Dowager Countess, who was a daughter of Senor Antonio Yznaga de Valle of Louisiana, married the Sdi Duke of Manchester and was the mother of the present Duke. She died in 1909. A dispute arose out of the wording of the will, and in June last the present Duke submitted the will to the United States courts for arbitration The Duke's four children who vili benefit under the court’s ruling are:— Viscount Mandeville. Lord Edward Eugene Fernando. Lady Mary Alice, and Lady Ellen Millicent. who is just 21.
