Guy Bates Post was playing “The Masquerader” in San Francisco when the last mail left. Nellie Bramley was playing “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” when the last mail left. It was her 72nd successive week in Brisbane. June Mills, who makes lively contributions to “Show Boat” as Queenie, the “coloured” cook, has been seen often in vaudeville in Australia and New Zealand. Miss Mills has also assisted in the comedy of pantomime, and she has played character parts in comedy and drama. Adele Crane, who appeared in Auckland last in “The Student Prince” and “Madame Pompadour,” is to be married to lan Rubini, the musical director of the Capitol Theatre, Sydney. They will go to America, where Miss Crane will make singing pictures for Vitaphone. * * * Edyth Goodall,, the actress, died recently at her home in Warwick Square, Victoria, S.W. About three months ago she underwent a serious operation at Guy’s Hospital, and although it was successful she never seemed to regain her health. Miss Goodall, who embarked on her stage career as a touring actress, made a name for herself when she joined Miss Horniman’s repertory company at the Gaiety Theatre, Manchester, her best known part, being that of Fanny Hawthorn in "Hindle Wakes.”
