STANLEY—BEAUNG ’ The marriage took place at the Mount Albert Alethodist Church on Wednesday evening, of Miss Bess:Muriel Bealing. of Alexandra Avenue, Mount Albert, to Mr. Frank George Stanley, fourth son of Mrs. and the late Air. J. A. Stanley, of Oxford. England. The Rev. Ashcroft performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church with her brother-in-law. wore a daint lrook of cream net over palest shell pink, with full flared skirt hanging in pointed, uneven hem-line. The l*»odi< *• was effectively trimmed with silver and diamente. Brussels net. held in place with a cororet of orange blossom, formed the train, while a bouqnet of pink and cream flowers was carried. In attendance upon the bride wa«> Mrs. Dorothy Gordon, wearing a frock of sunset shaded georgette banded in deeper torings of taffeta, and finished with embroiderings of silver. Her bouquet consisted of flowers in pale and deep gold, and with this a head dress of tulle in the same tonings was Mr. Lisle Gordon performed the duties of best man. and Mr. Jack Eetcher was organist, the service be;ng a choral one. AFTERNOON TEA WELLINGTON VISITOR ENTERTAINED An ei joyable afternoon te.* tv as given at the Lyceum Club yesterd<*\ by Airs. K. M. Graham and Airs. Tudhope for Mrs. Henderson, of Wellington. and Miss Sinclair, of Auckland, who will be leaving for Australia verv shortly. Mrs. Graham wore a navy costtime relieved with lemon facings ard lemon, hat. Airs. Tudhope was in a fan n eelanese frock, trimmed with royal blue, a tangerine hat. and brown furs. Among the guests were Airs. Hume. Mrs. Felix AlcGuire, Airs. Vickerman. Airs. W. Johnston. Mrs. Bavlev. Mrs. W. McGarry. Mrs. A. McGarrv. Misses V . C.. and M. Graham. . WOMEN’S INSTITUTE HENDERSON BRANCH A successful members’ evening the Henderson Women’s Institute wa* held in the Foresters* Hall, Henderson. The president. Airs. Robb, occupied the chair, and after formally opening the meeting, handed it over to the members. Airs. Eason was then elected president with Airs. O’Nell secretary. Alusical items were given by Airs. Ashton. Airs. Scott and Aiiss L. Hart. A recitation was given b> Airs. Clegg. A roll call on "Why I Joined the Institute” was Aery well responded to. The meeting closed with supper, tho hostesses for the evening being Alra. King, Airs. Harwood and Aiiss Williams.
