KING COUNTRY WEDDING
FOUR ATTENDANT MAIDS OLD—BISHARA A wedding of considerable interest in the King Country took place at the Taumarunui Anglican Church, when Freda Emily, the eldest daughter of Air. and Airs. S. Bishara, of Taumarunui, became the wife of Ambrose Oliver, the eldest son of Air. and Airs. Old, of Tokirima. The church had been most artistically decorated for the occasion, and the Rev. J. W. Burley performed the ceremony beneath a large floral bell. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of ivory chenille georgette, surmounted with a beautiful veil and orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of white lilies. Four bridesmaids were in attendance. Aliss Olive Bishara, a sister of the
bride, Aiiss Dolly Alclndoe, of Epsom. Auckland, and the Misses Paula and Patty Ginders. of Taumarunui. Two Df the maids were attired in frocks of apple green taft'eta, and carried bouquets of spring blooms: the other two wore coral pink crepe de chine and carried posies of flowers in tone. The best man was Mr. Arthur CongJen, of Taringamotu. After the service reception to nbout 200 guests was given in the Theatre Royal. To receive her guests the bride's mother wore a becoming froek of wine georgette and lace. with a hat to match, and a delightful French embroidered scarf. Mrs. Old. the bridegroom's mother, wore black crepe de chine, with touches of blue and gold and a black hat. The proceedings were presided over by the Rev. Mr. Burley, and the customary toast list was honoured. The bride and bridegroom left later to spend their honeymoon on a motoring tour in the South Island. Mrs. Old's travelling frock being of beige embroidered maiocain with furs, and a dainty hat of whiria felt
