ENJOYABLE BRIDGE AFTERNOON Airs. Heath Freest, of Tahora Avenue, Remuera, was hostess at a delightful bridge party yesterday afternoon. The lounge and drawing room were artistically arranged with beautiful spring flowers. The hostess received the guests wearing pink georgette and lace. Among the guests were; Airs. J. D. Webster, Airs. W. Reith, Airs. A. E. Macartney, Airs. E. Hyauiason, Airs. F. Taylor, Airs. J. Hopwood, Airs. AI. C. Bright, Airs. Cox, Airs. Kassan, Airs. Brown, Airs. T. P. Halpin, Airs. I. AC. Tugbv, Airs. R. Smallbone, Airs. J. D. Webster and Airs. Kassen were tne winners of the prizes. WOMEN’S INSTITUTE ALBANY BRANCH The members of the Albany "Women's Institute spent a pleasant afternoon when the delegates to the annual conference gave their reports. A short talk on some aspects of law relating to women by Airs. Treby was very much enjoyed. During the social hour, presided over by Airs. Powell. Mrs. Carman and Airs. Gardiner, members chatted on topics for 1930 pro- | grammes; many suggestions were 1 placed in the dainty box brought by i Airs. R, Stevenson.
