SOUTH ISLAND LEAGUE STAR SIGNED UP SOLID FIVE-EIGHTH Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. E. Spillane, the well-known League football player, lias signed up to play for Wigan Club in England. 1-Ie will leave shortly for England. Spillane this season was live-eighth for the Marist Club.
Spillane is one of the best players the League code in the South Island has produced. For the past two seasons, he has been an outstanding member of the South Island team, and on each appearance in Auckland, has played great football. Solid and nu.g-
