AUCKLAND METHODISM

ANNIVERSARY OF ESTABLISHMENT SERVICES AT PITT STREET The Sutli anniversary of the establishment of Methodism in Auckland will be celebrated in the Pitt Street Church tomorrow, which will also mark the 63rd anniversary of the opening of that church. The morning service will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. C. H. Laws, principal of Trinity College, and in the afternoon the choir will sing the oratorio “God, Thou Art Great.” The principal singers will be Miss Lilian Woods, Miss Phyllis ITazell, Mr. F. E. Sutherland and Mr. W. Leather. The Rev. H. L. Richards will be the speaker. The evening service will be conducted by the Rev. W. Walker, who will preach on “Man’s Inherent Need of God.” The soloists will be Mrs. A. Rattray and Mr. Thomas. On Thursday afternoon an old folks “At Home” will be held and will be followed by an anniversary rally in the evening.
