PROTEST AGAINST NEW ARRIVALS LEAGUE TAKES ACTION Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. The president of the White New Zealand League. Mr. J. W. Ransom, today received the following telegram from the secretary of the league at Auckland: “Thirty-five Asiatics arrived in Auckland yesterday. n® have protested to the Government. Will you please record the protest of your branch also?” It was stated that the Wellington branch would also submit its protest. Interviewed today, the Minister ot Customs, the Hon. W. B. Taverner, said he had received a telegram from the league, and inquiries were being made by the department. He hoped to be in a position tomorrow to reply to the league.
