entertaining programme The opportunity of seeing the great illusionist, Nicola, who is appearing at St. James Theatre, is limited to (in.) four more evenings. Large audiences have attended 1u - theatre to see the mysterious P - formances and to endeavour to so / the problems. Few, if any, haiebeisuccessful, for Nicola has mystified tl._ ?no C st critical audiences. While he performs his acts of mystery he entertains in such a way that the illusions do not drag but hold the interest from curtain to curtain. . VII It is about six years since Nicola was last in New Zealand and dura, that time lie has perfected and added to liis art so that today his performance eclipses that seen here on the 13 The illusionist is well supported by Mr. Herman Holmberg, a juggler, and Ibex a shadowgraph expert, and also ; a number of assistants for the various acts.
