SCHOOL BASKETBALL FINAL

VAUXHALL WINS COURT SHIELD

Vauxhall won the final of the Auckland primary schools’ basketball competition yesterday, at the Wellesley Street courts, defeating Otahuhu by 20 goals to 12. It was a splendid game to watch.

At tho conclusion of the match, the chairman of the Auckland Education Board. Mr. A. Burns, presented the John Court Shield to the winning team, and tho Rupert Moore Memorial Cup to the Otahuhu team. He congratulated both teams on their display, and also the coaches. Miss R. Ross (Vauxhall) and Miss C. Johnston (Otahuhu).
