MOVE FOR SETTLEMENT -ON ANY TERMS 1,000 IDLE TIMBERMEN Reed. 0.20 a m. SYDNEY, Today. 'Officials of the disputes committee told a mass meeting of timber workers who are out of employment as a result of the strike that they would have to accept the 4S-hour week if they desired reinstatement. The meeting instructed the committee to press for a settlement with the timber merchants, on whatever terms they could make. It is estimated that over 1,000 workers are idle as a result of the stoppage.
