AUCKLAND SISTERS’ LOSS GAVE MONEY FOR BANK Press Association, DUNEDIN, Today. In the Police Court this morning William Arthur Scott was charged with the theft of sums of money totalling £4l, the property of Margaret O'Connor, at Auckland. The police said that last year accused was associated with a dancing school in Auckland run by two sisters. He was given money to deposit in the bank, on their behalf, but spent it instead. He had made restitution to the extent of £ll. Counsel said accused had had an unfortunate spin since arriving in New Zealand two years ago, and wished to return to England. He was in a position to pay the balance of the money in a week.
