NOTES Mrs. E. T,eihy, of 'Dunedin, is at present visiting Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. L. Reid, of Te Hoe, are ; staying at the Royal Hotel. Mrs. Fowk. of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. Clarke in Frankton. Mrs. Wynn Gray has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Auckland. Miss Moira Goldwater leaves on Friday for Sydney, cn route to Paris. Miss Molly Hunt, of Kemuera, is visiting her sister, Mrs. Sutherland, at Invercargill. Mrs. F. F. Ivey is an English visitor to the Dominion, and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. W. Pyne, of Christchurch, are among the guests at the Central Hotel. Mrs. Donald Gorrie, who has been spending some months in Cambridge, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. F. W. Bell, of Turua. is visiting Auckland and is the guest of her niece, Mrs. T. Dane Allen, Cheltenham. Mrs. H. Irwell and Miss E. Foster, of London, Mrs. E. Harnett and Mrs. S. Reid, of Wellington, are at the Hotel Cargen. Miss Speedy, of the Auckland Hospital staff, who has been visiting Mrs. Blomtield, in Hamilton, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. H. R. J. Short, of Lochiel Road, Remuera, has returned from Australia after a four months’ visit to her daughter, Mrs. H. E. Bright. * * • Mrs. Cecil Trevithick, who joined her husband in America, is returning by the Niagara on Monday. When last heard from they were in Mexico. Miss Boyce, matron of St.. Helens Hospital, Wanganui, and Miss Livingston. also of Wanganui, are visiting Auckland for the Nurses’ Conference. Mrs. David Nathan returned to her home, “The Hill,” Manurewa, this morning after accompanying Mrs. Irwell on her tour through the South. Lady Nolan has taken a flat at Courtville until January, when she will leave on a visit to England with her daughter. Sir James Gunson has taken Lady Nolan’s house. Mr. and Mrs. W. Anderson, of Christchurch, Mr. and Mrs. G. Murray, of Lake Takapau, Mrs. R. Cranweil, of Hamilton, and Mrs. F. Ivey, of England, are guests at the Grand Hotel. The Rev. Wilma L. Constable left Auckland on Tuesday by the Daylight Limited for Tongariro National Park, en route for Wellington, where she will preach at the Unitarian Church on the first two Sundays of this month. WAIKATO NOTES Mrs. R. McLean, of Napier, is visiting her sister, Mrs. O. R. Farrar, in Hamilton. * » * Mrs. Collinson, of Palmerston North, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Hooker, in Hamilton. Miss Margaret Cowie, who is leaving? Hamilton to join her parents in Khandallah, was presented with a brush and comb tray, and shoe horn of mother of pearl, inlaid with gold, by the staff and pupils of Brain’s Commercial College, where she has been for some time teaching. * * GOLF DANCE The Waingaro Golf Club dance on Friday evening in the Waingaro Hall was most enjoyable. Mr. Schultz supplied the music, and the women members of the club the excellent supper. During the evening the trophies won during the season were presented by Mrs. Wilson. Among those present were: Mrs. Wilson, who wore sapphire blue georgette and lace; Mrs. W. Seavill, pale frock worn under an oriental cloak; Mrs. A. Eyre, delphinium blue ring velvet; Mrs. Harrow, black georgette, with oriental embroidery; Mrs. IT. Seavill, sunset shaded embroidered georgette; Mrs. C. Eyre, gobelin blue marocain: Mrs. McGuire, pale grey satin with lace overdress; Mrs. Cameron, primrose georgette and chiffon velvet; Miss Seavill, geranium georgette and silver lace; Miss E. Hammond (Hamilton), parchment lace and georgette; Miss Vercoe, saxe blue ring velvet; Miss Olsen, primrose net frock; Miss Rapson, black georgette frock; Miss J. Ritchie, almond green crepe de chine; Miss Henry, soft blue crepe de chine, with shawl to tone; Miss Upton, powder blue georgette; Miss Snodgrass, coral pink satin and gold trimming; Miss D. EUCHRE PARTY
FOR BAZAAR FUNDS CARDS AND DANCING A very successful euchre party and dance took place recently in the schoolroom of the Good Shepherd. Dominion ltoad. The function was arranged by a committee in conjunction with the forthcoming bazaar. Excellent music was supplied by Mrs Franchi and Miss Aileen Beresford] this being much appreciated by all. Among those present were:— Mrs. Murphy, who wore powder blue crepe de chine, with ivory shawl; Mrs. Owens, frock of oriental lame; Mrs! Derig, crimson georgette with black oriental shawl; Mrs. A. Williams, navy charmelaine with oriental trimming; Mrs. Sullivan, dainty frock of love-in-a-mist blue; Miss D. Thornton, delphinium blue georgette; Miss T. Mills, navy crepe de chine with cream relief; Miss Eileen Murphy, apricot silk net; Miss Olive Barrowman. peach georgette with silver trimmings; Miss Devlin, eau de nil frock with ivory shawl; Miss Scanlon, apricot georgette and shawl to tone; Miss Jones sunset georgette with fringed shawl in toning shades.

JOLLY DANCE
FOR MORRINSVILLE GOLF CLUB FUNDS MRS. ELLIS IS HOSTESS An enjoyable evening was held at Airs. F. W. Ellis’s home, in aid of the Morrinsville Golf Club. Although rain fell during the evening, a fair number of dancers attended and a jolly time was spent. Supper was served and the dancing continued until the early hours of the morning. Mrs. F. Ellis wore a frock of black beaded georgette. Among the dancers were; Airs. F. Seifert, wearing pretty floral spun silk; Airs. J. Enson, lavender crepe de chine; Airs. L. Pole, phlox pink georgette beaded in crystal; Airs. Robison, black lace over ivory georgette; Airs. P. Retry, apricot georgette and gold lace: Airs. A. Jenkins, black georgette and lace. Aliss I. Lloyd, who had on black georgette; Aliss D. Lowry, primrose beaded georgette; Aliss N. Jackson (Hamilton), petunia shaded georgette: Aliss R. Wilson, cyclamen pe tailed georgette; AJiss D.
