FIRE IN OFFICES
SEVERAL FIRMS SUFFER WELLINGTON OUTBREAK Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. Fire broke out yesterday in a threestoreyed concrete building at 22 Vivian Street, owned by T. A. Wells, and insured in the State Fire Office for £ 3,000. The fire had broken out on the second floor in premises occupied by V. J. Wiggs and Sou, office showrooms, and the contents were damaged by fire and water. This firm’s stock was insured for £250. Damage was done by smoke and heat to the office and showrooms of .Mohegan (New Zealand), Ltd., which was also on the second floor. The stock of the firm was not insured. Another firm on the same floor had its showrooms damaged, the stock being insured for £350. On the first floor the clubrooms of i he Hellenic Association suffered damage by water. The contents were insured for £350.
