A 21ST BIRTHDAY
DANCE PARTY TO CELEBRATE The Burlington Dance Hall presented a gay appearance on Saturday evening, when about a hundred guests were entertained by Airs. Gavan, the occasion being the coming- of-age of her eldest son, Arthur. Airs. Gavan received her guests wearing a becoming frock of beige embossed georgette. Among those present were: Airs. V. Smith, who wore a frock of emerald crepe de chine with large pink orchid; Mrs. Irving, frock of black panne velvet; Mrs. Bernascini, fuchsia georgette with gold lace trimmings; Mrs. Harrison, frock of black satin and lace; Airs. Farrell, black georgette with uneven hemline; Mrs. Sutcliffe, apple green georgette and oriental shawl; Airs. Blockley, rose crepe de chine frock; All's. Meyer, frock of silver grey satin; Miss Ada Blockley, sea-foam green taffeta; Aliss Eunice Smith, frock of black georgette with uneven hemline; Aliss Jean Scandle, black chenille velvet with primrose trimmings; Aliss P. Davies, black taffeta frock; Aliss AI. Webster, black and tangerine satin; Miss V. Matthews, frock of red satin; Miss AI. Wren, black satin with handkerchief points. Miss E. Singer was frocked in black crepe de chine; Miss AI. Farrell, pale blue satin frock; Aliss M. Dunne, black georgette with uneven hem; Miss AI. Singer, frock of ivory satin; Aliss J. Freeman, green crepe de chine frock; Aliss E. Brewer, frock of black georgette and lace; Aliss L. Langdon, pale green georgette; Aliss L. Allen, blue taffeta frock; Aliss Drake, frock of black georgette; Miss I. Meyer, floral georgette frock; Miss V. Hunter, apricot crepe de chine; Aliss A. Noonan, frock of leaf-green satin; Miss C. Davidson, pale green crepe de chine; Miss D. Blockley, apple green satin; Aliss Pauline Scandle, frock of duchess blue satin.
