PLEASANT EVENING The social committee of Court Birkenhead of the Ancient Order of Foresters held its fortnightly old-time dance in the Victoria Hall, Birkenhead, on Saturday evening. Mayall’s orchestra supplied the dance music, which was greatly appreciated, and Mr. Blackledge officiated as master of ceremonies. Mrs. Freegard and Mr. Huddleston© were the winners of the spot waltz. The la rinka, valeta, and pchottischo and many other old-time favourites were greatly enjoyed. Among those present were: Mrs. Wrightson, who wore a cream crepe de chine and blue frock; Mrs. Beckman, blue striped crepe de chine; Mrs. Hughes, frock of navy blue taffeta; Mrs. Foster, fawn silk jumper suit; Mrs. Thorbum, black sat, relieved with floral posy; Mrs. Barnett, frock of floral pattern rayon silk; Mrs. Grant, bois de rose crepe de chine, relieved with diamente buckle; Mrs. Freegard, blue crepe de chine, diamente relief; Mrs. Ripley, apple green crepe de chine; Mrs. Blackwell, jade green crepe de chine and posy; Mrs. A. Pugh, cornflower blue crepe de chine; Mrs. Harkins, sea green chiffon velvet with fur trimmings; Mrs. Gilfoyle, beige chiffon B nd lace. Miss V. Nickalls was in sea foam green pilk; Miss Donahoe, rose pink satin relieved with sequins; Mi3S M. Leathart, mauve silk and lace frock; Miss ft. Woollams, black ring velvet: Miss Ruby Hayson, green lace with uneven hem and bow of tulle; Miss G. Revell, marigold georgette and posy; Miss Walker, white taffeta and lace: Miss Spiers, black chiffon velvet with rose shawl: Miss Z. Mentzer, green satin and georgette, with shawl; Miss Faulder, black georgette, relieved with lime green.
