H.M.S. DIOMEDE SAILS TOMORROW. On a trip to England, where she will undergo an extensive refit, H.M.S. Diomede, now berthed at Central Wharf, is scheduled to sail at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning. H.M.S. DUNEDIN S Al LS.—H.M.S. Dunedin sailed at 11.30 this morning on a two months’ cruise to Southern ports. She will remain in the Hauraki Gulf until tomorrow afternoon, when she will depart for Akaroa. CANADIAN CHALLENGER ARRIVING.—The Canadian Challenger left Wellington at 5.10 p.m. yesterday for Auckland to complete filling up for New York, Boston and Montreal. Due here tomorrow night, the vessel will load, take in oil fuel, and sail for those ports on Thursday night. CANADIAN CRUISER SAILS THIS AFTERNOON. —At present at Prince’s Wharf unloading the local portion of her cargo from Montreal, the Canadian National .steamships vessel Canadian Cruiser is to be dispatched at 5 o’clock this afternoon for Wellington and- Australian to complete discharging. RANELLA FROM BORNEO.—With a cargo of fuel oil from Tarakan. Borneo, the tanker Ranella arrived in the stream early this morning and berthed at Western Wharf at 9 a.m. to put out the local consignment of her cargo into the Shell Oil Company’s tanks, at Freeman’s Bay. The vessel cleared Tarakap on September 11 and made a direct passage to Auckland via Torres Strait. She enjoyed good weather until the last four days in the Tasman Sea, when she had to contend with strong southerly winds. Captain A. Harrison commands the Ranella and with him are the following officers:—Chief officer, Mr. W. H. Arnold; second, Mr. . S. Dee; third, Mr. C. A. Howarth; chief engineer, Mr. J. G. P. Fowler; second, Mr. T. S. Markley; third, Mr. F. Cook; fourth, Mr. A. Purves; wireless operator, Mr. G. Adamson. The crew both on deck and below are Chinese. The Ranella is to sail for Wellington tomorrow morning to complete discharging and from there returns to the East.

WAIPAHI FOR AUCKLAND.—The local office of the Union Company advises that the Island fruit steamer Waipahi is expected to clear Rarotonga today for Auckland, where she Is due about October 9.

NIAGARA FROM VANCOUVER. —The Royal Mail liner Niagara is scheduled to reach Auckland next Monday morning ■with passengers, mail and cargo from Vancouver, Honolulu and Suva. She is to resume lier voyage to Sydney at five o’clock the following evening. THE GOLDEN WEST.—-With cargo from Pacific Coast ports the Oceanic and Oriental Navigation Company’s steamer Golden West is to leave Dos Angeles today for Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due at Auckland on October 27.

TAIROA FROM LIVERPOOL. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa is scheduled to reach Auckland from Glasgow and Liverpool on October 10. She has a general merchandise cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.

PLUME REPORTS.—The Vacuum Oil Company’s tanker Plume has reported bywireless that she will arrive from San Francisco at daybreak on Thursday. The vessel has a bulk oil cargo for discharge at Aucliland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunqdin. Cargo for Auckland will be unloaded at Western Wharf.

PORT HARDY LEAVES LIVERPOOL. r—The Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s steamer Port Hardy was dispatched. from Liverpool last Saturday •with general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin, according to cable advice received. She is cue at Auckland about November 9.

KARAMEA DELAYED.—L. D. Nathan and Company has been advised that the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company-’s motor-ship Karamea been delayed, and now leaves Wellington at 5 p.m. tomorrow for Auckland, where she is due on Friday to complete her loading. She is now scheduled to clear this port finally' at daybreak next Tuesday for London and West Coast ports of England, via Panama.

RARANGA TO LOAD.—The Shaw. Savill and Albion steamer Raranga is scheduled to leave Port Chalmers on October 10 for Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth and Auckland, in continuation of her loading itinerary. The vessel is due at Auckland on October 23, and she is to be dispatched from this port for New York, Halifax and London on October 29. A. S. Paterson and Company, Limited, will act as the local agents.

TRANS PACIFIC CARGO STEAMERS. —The Waikawa is to leave Auckland tomorrow for Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney to complete unloading cargo from Pacific Coast ports. From Sydney- she is to return to Vancouver dii'ect.

The Waihemo, with cargo from Pacific Coast ports, left San Francisco for Wellington, Nelson, Melbourne and Sydney last Friday-. She is due at Wellington on October 22.

Now loading at Pacific Coast ports the Waitemata is to clear Los Angeles for Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, BlufC, Nelson, and New Plymouth next Saturday. She is due at Napier on October 31. The Hauraki was scheduled to leave Vancouver yesterday' for other Pacific Coast ports to continue loading for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. She is to clear Los Angeles on October 20, and is due at Auckland on November 10.

The Waiotapu is to leave Suva for Fanning Island and Vancouver next Fridav. She is to load at Vancouver toward the end of October and afterward at other ports on the Pacific Coast for discharge at Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. Now completing discharge at Wellington the Wairuna will return direct to Pacific Coast ports to load for Lyttelton, Dunedin, New Plymouth, Napier, and also possibly Auckland. She is scheduled to clear Los Angeles on December 5, and to reach Lyttelton on December 30.

ULIMAROA FROM SYDNEY.— An arat Auckland this morning was tJie Huddart-Parker s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa from Sydney, which later berthed at the Queen’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The Ulimaroa leaves Auckland at 11 a.m. on Friday on her return trip to the New South Wales port.

WAIKAWA FOR WELLINGTON. Efforts are being made by' the local office of the Union Company' to dispatch the steamer Waikawa from Auckland tomorrow for Wellington, thence Melbourne and Sydney-, to complete her discharge of Pacific Coast cargo.

RUAPEHU AT COLON. According to cable advice received by- the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company'; the steamer Ruapehu, en route from London to Suva, Wellington, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and New Plymouth, arrived at Colon on September 28. She is expected to arrive at Wellington on October 27.

TOFU A RETURNS.—The Union Company's Island passenger steamer Tofua (captain Duncan McDonald) returned to Auckland at 11.45 p.m. yesterday from the Islands, and berthed this morning at the Prince’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. Fair weather was experienced by the vessel until last Friday, when she ran into a south-easterly-wind and seas which increased into gale force.
