“SPEED NOT EXCESSIVE”
COMPLAINTS OF EXPRESS TRIP LITTLE OVER SCHEDULE Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. Regarding the complaints of .excessive speed by the West Coast Express, railway officials say the allegations are not warranted. The actual running schedule had been examined and it bad been found that the train made up only ten minutes in a run of 108 minutes. “All the passengers were interviewed and 75 per cent, said they did not notice any difference. The matter will be further looked into by the department,” said an official.
