FRIENDLY SOCIETY TOURNEY The Auckland Friendly Societies’ Indoor Bowling Association commenced its champion singles tourney on Saturday, September 28, in the Drill Hall, Ponsonby. Light rounds were played, and some very fine contests were witnessed, frequently those in the leading positions only retaining that position with the aid of the last bowl. Play will be continued on Saturday next. Competitors are warned that all mats will be still required.
