POLICE COURT RISES
MAGISTRATES AT FUNERAL Police and Magistrate’s Courts were adjourned for 10 minutes this morning to enable Messrs. E. C. Cutten and F. X. Hunt, S.M.’s, to be present when the funeral of Mr. J. A. A. Beattie left his residence, which adjoins the court buildings in Kitchener Street. Mr. Beattie, who was 51 years of age, had been caretaker of the court since 1921. He died on Sunday following an attack' of pneumonia." His funeral this morning was attended byclerks from the court office.
