SELECTING A TRADE-MARK MANUFACTURERS TO MEET (From, Our Resident ReporterX WELLINGTON. Today. Success has not attended the attempt of the New Zealand Federation to obtain a national trademark which might be used on New Zealand-made goods of all descriptions. Competitive designs were invited and a special design was chosen to enabl* the purchasing public readily to distinguish Dominion-made goods. Now, however, it has been found that the design chosen, partly by reason of it* size, is not suitable for certain metals and for some forms of clothing. Therefore the matter is to be left over untill the presidents of the four manufacturers’ Associations meet in Wellington on October 24. At that meeting a new design and one more *ult« able will be sought.
