ELDERLY MAN COLLAPSES SUCCUMBS ON WAY TO . HOSPITAL An elderly man, who has been identified as Charles Henry Mowbray, aged 73. single, of Tramways Road, Birkdale. collapsed suddenly at 5.45 last evening as he was leaving the FerryBuilding, and died before reaching the Auckland Hospital. Mr. Mowbray, who was walking slowly- from the western exit of the building, was seen by passers-by suddenly to collapse. They lifted him to a seat. The doctor and wharf police were summoned and he was removed to the hospital by the St. John Ambulance. No inquest will be held.
