RAILWAY NOTICES CCCBCBC RAILWAYS AUCKLAND RACES, AT ELLERSLIE. OCTOBER 5 AND 7. HOLIDAY EXCURSION TICKETS, available for return until October S, 1929, ■will be issued to Racecourse siding- and Auckland from Frankton. Glen Afton, Waiuku, Helensville, and intermediate stations on direct line of route on October 5 and from Frankton, Waiuku, Helensville, and intermediate stations on direct line of route, on October 7. by trains due to arrive Auckland not later than 12 noon (each day). These tickets will not be available by the Limited Main Trunk express trains. Return tickets to Racecourse siding, available on day of issue only, will be issued on both days from Auckland and Newmarket, fare Is 6d. Single tickets only will be issued at Racecourse siding and Green Lane—minimum fare Is. Free passes, privilege, season, and commutation tickets (reporters’ tickets and passes held by members of the Legislature excepted) from any station, and ordinary and tourist tickets from Auckland and Newmarket, will NOT be accepted at Racecourse siding. Passengers travelling from Auckland and Newmarket to the Racecourse siding must hold special race tickets. , TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. On SATURDAY, October 5, trains will leave Auckland for Racecourse siding 9.25, 10. lift, 10.35, 10.50, 11.6, 11.20, 11.52 a.m., 12.10, 12.40, and I.D p.m.. returning at frequent intervals before and after last race. The 10.20, 10.35, and 11.20 a.m. trains will not stop at Remuera or Green Lane. Special train, stopping where required, will leave Papakura 9.51 a.m., Manurewa 10.5, Papatoetoe 10.22, Otahuhu 10.30, arriving Racecourse 10.43, and Auckland 11.1 Special train, stopping where required, will leave Onehunga at 10.49 a.m., and connecting at Penrose with train leaving Penrose for Auckland at 10.57 a.m. Special train leaves Auckland for Frankton 5.30 p.m.. Racecourse 5.50, Papakura 6.34, Pukekohe 7.6, Mercer 7.45. Frankton arrive 9.20 p.m. Stops only at Newmarket, Green Lane, Racecourse siding, Papakura, and all stations south of Papakura if required. The usual 5.44 p.m. Auckland-Papatoetoe train runs through to Papakura (Racecourse depart 6.3 p.m.), and connects at Penrose with train for Onehunga. Usual 5.13 p.m. Auckland-Whangarei Saturday train leaves Auckland 5.58 p.m., Newmarket 6.9, Henderson 7.2, Helensville 5.40, Maungaturoto 11.40 p.m., Waiotira 12.40 a.m. (next day), Whangarei arrive 1.36 On MONDAY, October 7, trains will leave Auckland for Racecourse siding 9.28, 10.30, 10.45, 11.6, 11.20 a.m., 12.13, and 1.9 p.m., returning at frequent intervals before and after the last race.
