QUALITY SATISFACTORY Advice has been received by tho ITowick Town Hoard from the Health Department that the water from the shaft at Pigeon Alountain, Pakurangu, is satisfactory after chlorination f° r use as a town supply. The shaft is sunk to a depth of through a scoria bed on the slope of Pigeon Alountain, and in a recent test approximately 300,000 gallons of were pumped in about 32 hours, without reducing the level of the watei.
