ANTI-FASCIST STERNLY SENTENCED PLOTTING IN ITALY {Australian and N.Z. Press AssociationJ Reed. 10 a.m. ROME, Friday. Dicosare Rossi was sentenced to 30 years’ Imprisonment alter a three and a half hours’ trial, on a charge of committing, in association with antiFascists and Reds, acts designed to provoke armed risings or civil war, organising plots to overwhelm the Government, and attempts on Signor Mussolini’s life. Rossi was a former secretary of the Italian Press Bureau, and formerly held high rank as a Fascist leader. He fled from Italy and attacked Signor Mussolini and the Italian Government in the French Press. He was originally tried for complicity in the murder of Matteotti, but was acquitted.
