THE HOME OF DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION. —Though the rapid growth of New Zealand has driven several departments to other parts of the capital city, the Government Buildings, Wellington , still house the majority of department at heads. When it was built, this, the largest wooden building in the world, held ample accommodation for all departmental offices, but there are now other administrative blocks scattered about the city and some departments have been forced to seek a refuge in the Dominion Farmers’ Institute, which is shortly to be considerably enlarged.
