A jury- of five women and seven men brought in a verdict of guilty of manslaughter against Mrs. Pantages, wife of a theatre owner, who recently sold his theatres for £3,000,000. The law provides for a sentence of from one to 10 years. Mrs. Pantages collapsed when she heard the verdict. The charge was one of the second degree of murder for killing a Japanese while driving a motor-car while intoxicated. The victim was the father of six children.
