FIRE FOLLOWS SMASH

CAR DAMAGED AT DUNEDIN Press Association HUNEHIN, Thursday. A motor-car collided with and" brought down an electric-light pole at the Normanby car terminus shortly after nine o’clock tonight and then struck a pole carrying the overhead tram wire. The car was badly damaged by the collision and the wiring was slightly damaged by fire. The fire brigade was called out and the blaze was -speedily extinguished. When the brigade arrived the occupants of the car had disappeared and no trace has been found of them.
