GLENN TRYON COMEDY

“IT CAN BE DONE” AMUSING FILM AT TIVOLI To those people who can enjoy a really funny comedy, the announcement that “It Can Be Done,” the latest corned v starring Glenn Try on, opened at the Tivoli Theatre, will be as a cool drink of water to the thirsty. Glenn Tryon, that populai* young comedian who lias achieved such phenomenal success in the last two years, portrays the part of a young man who is possessed of a devastating inferiority complex, and consequently undergoes the trials and tribulations that are the lot of all persons afflicted with an excess of timidity. Tryon takes the part of a young clerk in a publish-

ing firm. He has just been discharged and is leaving the office when he meets the girl of his heart, who thinks that he is the boss of the company and forces her manuscript upon him. He reads her story and decides to put into active use some of the theories that it contains.

The adventures that befall them, in the pursuance of this decision, form the theme of one of the cleverest comedies that has ever been filmed. Tryon is perfectly cast in his role and Sue Carol as the girl gives an excellent performance. Also, she is pretty and charming. Others in the cast are Tom O’Brien, Richard Carlyle, Richard Carle and Jack Egan. The supporting programme maintains the same high standard. There is an exciting Western story starring that clever horseman, Ken Maynard, entitled “The Royal Rider,” also a comedy and a gazette.
