WATER-SUPPLY COST
PAYMENT BY MOUNT ALBERT BUSINESS AT COUNCIL The joint committee of the Mount Albert Borough Council brought forward a recommendation last evening for the payment of 2s for 1.000 gallons for water, to the Auckland City Council. The recommendation was adopted, and the decision wifi be communicated to other local bodies. The Municipal Association of New Zealand suggested that plant ordered from Great Britain should have the country of origin stated definitely by the tenderers. The Mayor. Mr. L. K. Rhodes, remarked that the council did not frequently order material from the United Kingdom. In the weeks. 33 building permits, valued at £5.783. have been issued, the report of the building inspector stated. Five dwellings were valued at £3,450, and a block of dwellings and two shops at £2,600.
