There was a large offering o greasy Merino, and a slightly improvec tone was noticeable. Prices were unchanged. Arrangements have, been made by the Whangamomona Petroleum Prospecting and Development Company to commence drilling for oil 3S miles from Stratford before the middle of N’ovembm . The capital of the company is £IO.OOO, divided into £1 shares. The area on which the bore will be started bas been selected, and a contract for prilling has been made.
