TWO MEN DROWNED
STORY OF HEROISM AND TRAGEDY IN SHARK-INFESTED SEAS Reed. 10 a.m. BRISBANE, Monday. A drowning tragedy is reported from Cairns. Four men were thrown into • the water when a big wave capsized a J fishing boat. Two of them, Ronald | Brown and Vincent Ebrington, were ; drowned. Michael Hese swam for three miles i through shark-infested waters to the • mainland, and the fourth man, named Cook, was rescued by a lugger. He had been in the water nearly three hours and had made a gallant attempt jto assist Ebrington, who eventually became exhausted and sank.
