Trafford. speaking of the Dominion president of j the Farmers’ Union, at a meeting of the Poverty Bay executive. “He .has worked tremendously,”» said Mr. Trafford, ”and not only has ; he .given his work and brains to the benefit of the union but he has spent thousands of pounds of his own money in the promotion of the union's interests.” •’Declaring that the criticism of 3lr. Poison was based on party politics, 31r. Trafford moved “That the Dominion executive be asked to circularise the provinces asking that any discussion of the Dominion president’s actions be taken in committee.” The executive agreed to express continued and very warm support of 3lr. Poison as Dominion president.
