HINEMOA HELD UP

WESTPORT WORKERS REFUSE TO COAL HER UNION TROUBLE AGAIN Press Association W E.STPORT, Monday. The steamer Hinemoa, which was recently purchased by D. W. McKay, Limited, for the running of a South Island tourist service, arrived from Auckland on Saturday to load bunker coal prior to proceeding to Bluff. Owing to non-unionists being employed as firemen the waterside workers here have withheld the handling of the coal. A meeting of waterside workers to discuss the position will be held tomorrow morning. While the vessel has been in port one of the firemen has had rough handling from men on other vessels. It is also alleged that a local resident took part in the rough handling, resulting in an arrest.
