WANGANUI PUPILS IN MARQUEES CONDITION KNOWN FOR YEARS From Our Own Correspondent WANGANUI, Today. The Wanganui Technical College building, stated to be unsafe by the Minister of Education, was recently vacated, and classes are now being held in marquees and in the workshop. , It is revealed that a Public Works Department report some years ago showed the building to be unsafe, and liable to collapse. It was strengthened were possible, but as construction was prohibited as being too expensive, the supports remained in the same condition until the Minister's statement showed the danger to the pupils and staff.
