NICOLA

AT ST. JAMES ON FRIDAY A series of tricks, illusions, sleight of hand, magic and scientific problems will be presented in Auckland shortly by the famous Nicola, acclaimed by the overseas Press as “the world’s greatest magician and illusionist.” His season will open at the St. James Theatre on Friday evening. Nicola will be assisted by Miss Marian Eddings, Miss Violet Holly, Miss Leona Cox, Miss Doris Helt and Mr. Herman Holmberg as “Doliski,” and a company of talented assistants. In addition to tricks and illusions performed in a replica of Nicola’s own theatre and workshop, the programme will include the presentation of celestial and oriental mysteries, performed in the appropriate Chinese, Hindu or Egyptian setting. The box plan is now open at the St. James Theatre, and is filling rapidly.
